How to Hide Apps on Android without Using App Hider
Have you ever wished to hide apps on your android device? If yes, then here in this article I have some methods that might help you hide your private apps from your friends’ or relatives’ preying eyes.
Method 1: (Via Themer)
Themer is a free theme (as the name itself suggests) that can be used to beautify your phone as well as provide you with some awesome functions. It is as of now the best way to hide your apps without you fearing of losing your privacy.
Step 1: On your Android device, head staright away to playstore and download this app.
Step 2: Secondly after the installation is completed, launch themer and select a beautiful theme from the many themes provided.
Step 3: Tap the menu button present at the center of you phone’s home screen.
Step 4: Then at the top of your screen, you’ll see a horizontal bar that lets you shift between Categorise, Apps and Favourites.
Click on the apps section and a dropdown appears. This dropdown allows you to “Hide Apps” and “Manage App Drawer”.
Step 5: Select “Hide Apps” and select the apps that you want to hide.
Step 6: Once done, tap the “Home Button” or the “Back Button” to return to your phone’s home screen.

Method 2: (Via Nova Launcher)
Nova Launcher is also a Theme that lets you beautify and customize your phone according to your needs. This Launcher also helps you hide apps from your app drawer.
Step 1: Download and Install nova Launcher from Google’s playstore.
Step 2: Head towards Nova settings.
Step 3: Choose the App and widget Drawers option
Step 4: Go to Hide Apps
Step 5: Choose the apps that you want to hide from the App Drawer.
Method 3: (Via Hide It Pro) For Rooted Phones Only
This is an app available on playstore that can hide pictures, videos, applications, messages, calls and is free. It is available only for rooted android devices.
Step 1: Download and Install “Hide it Pro” from Google’s playstore. This app is disguised as audio manager.
Step 2: Once you are done with installing it, open the “Audio Manager”. The following screen appears.
Step 3: Choose the type of protection you want and proceed. I chose to pin protected my stuff.
Step 4: Enter a recovery email ID, in case you forget your pin/password.
Step 5: Choose hide apps from the vault.
Step 6: Follow the instructions provided thereafter.
Method 4: (For HTC Users)
Step 1: Open the app drawer by using the option on the HTC home page.
Step 2: Choose the options that are present on the top right corner of the screen. Normally they are present there, but in case they are not there, search for a three vertical dots symbol.
Step 3: Upon tapping once on the vertical dots, a dropdown menu appears. Select the “Hide/Unhide Apps” option from the dropdown menu and then select the apps that you want to hide and then choose “Done”. All the apps that you want to hide are hidden and you can view it by selecting “Hide/Unhide Apps” option.
Method 5: (For Samsung Users)
Step 1: Open the app drawer from the Samsung home page.
Step 2: Choose the options that are present on the top right corner of the screen. Normally they are present there, but in case they are not there, search for a three vertical dots symbol.
Step 3: Upon tapping once on the vertical dots, a dropdown menu appears. Select the hide apps option from the dropdown menu and then select the apps that you want to hide and then choose “Done”. All the apps that you want to hide are hidden and you can view it by selecting “Show Hidden Apps” option.
