How I Fixed “Vegas Pro Has Stopped Working” & “Unmanaged Exception 0xc0000005” Errors
Sony Vegas pro is a well known Video editing software. Downloading and installing Sony Vegas pro is easy, but then we see this error that says “Vegas Pro Has Stopped Working”. If you look into the details, it will show you “Unmanaged Exception 0xc0000005” as the problem. You can solve this problem by following the steps mentioned below.
Method 1: Disabling the AMD adapter.
Step 1: Go to control panel
Step 2: Click on Hardware and sound Option
Step 3: Click on Device Manager
Step 4: Click on Display Adapters
Step 5: Now from the dropdown, right click on the AMD adapter and disable it
Step 6: Try opening the software again. The problem should be solved.
Alternatively, if you have updates available for drivers, try updating them to solve the issue. Even if the problem persists. Disable the AMD adapter.
Method 2: Disabling other VPN internet connections
For all those who do not have two adapters or did not have adapter related issues then you should try this method.

Step 2: Click on “Network and Internet”
Step 3: Under “Network and Sharing Center”, select “View network status and tasks”
Step 4: In the Left column, click on “Change Adapter Settings”
Step 5: Now, leave the main Ethernet connection as it is and start disabling the remaining connections by right-clicking on them.
Step 6: After you have disabled all the Ethernet connections keeping you main connection as it is, now try running Sony Vegas pro. It shall work now.

Other Solutions:

-
Uninstalling Quicktime/itunes works for some.
-
Go to Sony Vegas pro’s properties and under compatibility select windows 7 mode.
Thank you! Helped second method. I was unpleasantly surprised such amount of connections.
I tried different ways to fix it but anything does not work. It is strange that at first sight single problem have too many reasons and respectively differnt solutions.
