#Honest Getresponse Review: Email Marketing Tool

For all those of you who do not know what getresponse is, let me explain it to you in this getresponse review. Getresponse (previously known as implix the company behind ClickMeeting and ClickWebinar) is an email marketing web 2.0 application that empowers you with the ability to build and send attractive emails and newsletters to your email lists and make money off it. (If used in the right way)

The application is overall very good and I can say so because I’ve tried it personally and was very much satisfies with the service. My first email that I used to test the service can be seen below.

The remarkable thing about this software that bowled me over was its landing page creation feature. Not many email marketing services offer this service and this is what makes this company a good and smart choice. Services like mailchimps and aweber need another application like leadpages to create a landing page for you and that might increase the cost of email marketing. So, I chose to go with getresponse instead.(I know I’m smart and now you also know that) 🙂

It has an easy to use interface and all you need is the ability to understand English and some knowledge about the benefits of using the application. Even if you do not know how to code, the Drag-and-drop email editor will come handy. People with coding skills have an extra advantage over the non-programmers, as they can even use the html source editor.

The drawback that I found in this service was their 1500+ templates that might confuse you at times (I was confused when I was choosing a template for the above sample email) but then if you are clear with your goal, then this might not be a problem. Anyways, their plans start from $15 a month and is suitable for a person or organisation with a subscriber list of 1000.

Its other features include inbox preview feature (this takes time to generate on a slow internet connection), Autoresponders, Landing pages(as discussed above), forms, online surveys, webinars and much more.

One feature that I found unique was the perfect timing option, it is build to deliver the email exactly when your subscribers are most likely to read and act upon it. I haven’t tried that feature yet but shall try to try it in future. 😀

Getresponse features at a glance:

  • Allows to add Age, company, gender & 14 other custom fields for the contact
  • Drag-and-drop email editor for beautiful email messages
  • Html source editor
  • Lets you analyze via click through, google analytics and A/B test
  • 1500+ customizable templates to choose from
  • Inbox preview option
  • Perfect timing option
  • Autoresponders
  • Landing pages creator
  • Forms
  • Schedule posts
  • online Surveys
  • Webinars and much more

Getresponse Pricing:

They offer a free 30 days trial and upon completion of this trial, you can upgrade to their pro plans.

  • Inbox preview option takes toooo long to generate the preview. It says 2 minutes but takes more than that.
  • A bit expensive

Bottom Line?

The tool is good and will be sufficient to help you do email marketing like a pro. You can try it first for 30 days and if you like it, then you can upgrade to the paid plans. They have a 30 days money back policy. I’d rate this tool 4/5 because it has a slow preview generator.

GetResponse sounds too good to be true! I think I saw some mention of them doing marketing automation? Have you tried it?
